Boy's 7th Grade Defeats Chatham

On Saturday, December 21st 2019 the boy's 7th grade team faced off against a travel club team from Chatham in the ISP Winter Indoor League. They face stiff competition from a seasoned squad that plays year round together with members that participate in various top tier club programs. The Watchung Hills 7th grade boys played one of their finest games in recent memory and jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first half. Chatham rallied back scoring 4 goals in the second but Watchung Hills stood their ground adding one more goal to win the contests 6-4.

The win was a testament to their heart, determination and effort. Out hustling, out scoring and keeping a well planned offense at bay most of the game. The team truly played as a cohesive unit and improved their winter record to 2-1 with their only loss coming at the hands of the 8th grade Summit squad. The boys pick their season back up on January 4th and will be in the hunt for the championship as is typical in every tournament they join.
